Very rare gun and also very hard to find. These do not come up often! The following was copied off the internet. Sold recently on Gun Broker for almost $2300. Mine arent the best pics, but its a very nice rifle and functions perfectly. PM if you have any questions- Enumclaw.
ONE OF THE MOST DIFFICULT TO FIND OF THE POST-1950 MARLINS IS THIS 1894 "OCTAGON RIFLE" .44 MAGNUM ONLY MADE FOR ONE YEAR IN 1973! This is a JM Stamped, pre-safety model manufactured in limited numbers and almost never encountered today. This model was only manufactured in 1973 with a total of only 2,957 units produced. This was long before the Cowboy Limited rifle ever came into production. It has the factory blue finish, 20 inch octagon barrel, 10-shot full length tubular magazine, micro groove rifling, pre safety receiver, brass bead front sight, adjustable semi buckhorn rear sight and walnut stock and forearm with straight grip stock and blued steel forend cap.
