I have a Vepr in 308 Win that is cool to shoot. Probably the weakest link is the optics however they are period authentic Russian 4X with ranging reticle.

It's a fun toy for sure. Modified a bit for 922r compliance and just shooter comfort...knocked probably 80% of the recoil out of it. Shoot 12ga all day long with that thing and not have a single mark on your shoulder or even remotely feel sore. no need for padded vests or heavy coats. only starts to feel like a 12ga when you run 3" magnum loads through it.

Actually, it's a bit heavy and 545 is too much like 556. Should have went with a 7.62 version.
But she sure is pretty.

That wood is pretty. I have thought about trying to pick up some nice wood furniture to replace the plastic front end on mine.

That stock looks familiar. Folds, telescopes and reduces recoil, right? Will it fit a Saiga12?

So is there a "cover" for that to protect it? Seems like if you slipped a piece of tubing over it maybe it would help with muzzle flash and reduce the recoil a bit.
