I know the big guys travel the country doing classes for shooters. I've found a Ben Stoeger class coming to Boise and I'm willing to drive to that this Spring.

I've also seen many posts on Enos forums about local M's and GM's who do classes. Are there any of these in greater Portland? I'd like to get better faster.

There is some that do but I don't know if they offer it. Contact the local section or ask at local matches. Some self study in books or watching the masters shoot goes a long way. Putting yourself in squads with good shooters also really helps. IMO, the biggest way to improve is through dedicated practice. I would bump up a class if I actually practiced between matches.

Jan at ARPC did give lessons at one time. You can drill down through the sports section of the club web site for his contact information, or send me a PM and I'll send it to you. As far as shooting with the A and Master shooters, all it did for me was show how much I sucked!:(

Something that has helped me is to plan my practices. If you can recognize your deficiencies, you can start to work on improving on those points. There many good drills here: http://pistol-forum.com/. And of course, keep reading Brian Enos forum: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?act=idx. I believe there is more good stuff in that forum than us mere mortals can absorb in several lifetimes.

I know Jan, from Dundee matches, and have his email address. He'd probably be a pretty good instructor. I'm currently basing my training on Ben Stoeger's books, mainly Skills and Drills and his 15 min dry fire book.
