I prepared my taxes at the end of April (I filed an extension) and asked the wife to take it to the post office to get a stamp for it. My whole return as about 15 or 16 pages, the envelope was about 3/4" thick!
I just found the receipt yesterday from when she went to the post office. All she bought was a single stamp for it from a vending machine. Now I am positive this envelope would of taken 2-3 stamps as it was so thick plus I did my taxes on my computer and i have VERY heavy weight paper.
Now this was a couple weeks ago, can I safely assume they took it with one stamp since it has not been returned? I have been checking the wheres my refund every couple days just to hope I see a received or processing on it but nothing. I know it can take weeks for them to process it though.
Is there any way to even be sure that they got it?
