    Greetings:

I am looking for a used beat (cheap) SKS for a project gun. Prefer it to be Chinese and have a 10 round factory mag, stock is unimportant as is sights and finish. Prefer FTF - I'm in Albany but travel about the valley some.

Project will be to weld on HK G-3 sights and thread a G3 flash suppressor in place, duracoat it in Green and drop it in a Choate fixed stock. Let me know what you have.

    Many thanks-

So how much are you thinking of spending on one ?
Just trying to see if it is worth it to let one go.

What do you have? I bought three complete before al this election business for $100/$165 and $200 in the past year. The stock is not needed. All I need is the metal and a decent bore.... can be rusted... pitted... mismatched numbers.... Kinda thinking in the $150-$175 range... I saw a pair here that were pretty nice Yugs at $225 each not long ago..

Actually, I prefer mismatched numbers.... I hate to ruin a complete correct one.

I'm tempted to offer up mine just so I can see it done. :D It's pretty nice though. I just hardly ever shoot it and I just bought an AK that has my attention.

    where is "mid Wilamette valley"?

After some more thought,i am going to pass on offering any up for sale.
None of them are in that bad of shape,i have already purchased a lot of parts to restore, and i personaly don't want to see one get bubba'd out.
    Have fun with your project.

Just to clarify - I dont think my idea rates bubba'ed.... I would have to go with a Ramline folding stock, clamp on bipod, clamp on Muzzle break, Chinese flashlight and cheap duck bill magazine, spraypainted all black and the cheapest scope possible screwed into the receiver cover to be truly Bubbified.
