Proper barrel and overall length and semiauto. May I ask what makes this an nfa item? What am I missing?

BATF classifies the USAS-12 as a "destructive device".

I'm not sure. I've only had the shotgun for a few years and I had to get the tax stamp when I bought it. It is a blast to shoot (no pun intended) but I'm retired now and I'm just getting into different types of firearms. It's in excellent condition and I've only taken it out to shoot a few times. If you have any interest, please let me know. These don't come up for sale very often and every one I've looked was priced higher. Thank you for your interest.
