I recently bought two dewalt bit sets and noticed they were both "made in china." I was curious if there are any local shops around Eugene/Springfield area that sells sets made in the USA?

Any advice/tips would be great! Thanks

oh, and they are for basic diy home stuff, nothing major.

I know that W.L. Fuller makes all their bits in the US. They're kind of specialized bits, but it's a start.

There is a short list of things "built" (just assembled I assume) in the USA, but you're right, I believe most of the parts are made in china.

I use a lot of Cle-Line sets in my shop. Ok bits and you can get them almost anywhere(even Home Depot ) . A lot of bits are still made in the US. Most of the bits I use for the cnc are made right here in Portland and don't cost any more than ordering on the internet. If you want US made hand tool try Grainger or Motion Industries.

I never buy any type of cutting tool or instrument of Chinese origin. They just don't get heat treat!
