For sale is a very collectable Colt 1911 with a Union Switch and Signal replacement slide. The pistol is a rebuilt WWI era 1911 made in 1918. A Union Switch and Signal slide is very uncommon and highly desirable. A full US&S pistol would demand a much higher price as only 55,000 were made. The pistol is "United States Property" marked as well as Augusta Arsenal rebuild marks. The barrel is a Colt barrel that is bright and shiny with excellent grooves. Comes with one unmarked magazine. This 1911 came from the estate of a retired Army Colonel and 1911 collector. I have not fired this gun. I'm selling to fund another project but I'm sure I will regret this.
