US Postal Service logging all mail for law enforcement

    Funny how an ELF spokesman gets all shocked and indignant about the fact that he's being monitored.

    Mail was being photographed in the 1970's and before. I have friends who collect the cameras used. I know of Canon F1's that were modified for mail room use in the mid 1970's

    Probably since WWII. Doesn't make it right.

    Mail is already electronically scanned and sorted, so why photograph it? BTW the electronic scanning is collecting metadata; Place of origin, destination, frequency, domestic or foreign.
