Unlawful search and seizure of firearms?

I came across this video today. A person, Matt, was doing some target practice on their property. Someone heard gunshots and called the sheriff. The sheriff took Matt into custody, then searched his home and gun safe without consent. It appears that law enforcement knew what they were doing was unconstitutional. To date, some of Matt's guns have not been returned.

If all of this is true, then it is another bad mark for the law enforcement and legal systems. Please view and comment. It's about 22 minutes long, in case you have ADD.
