UK military switching to Glock pistols - Yahoo! News
...And all those old ones will be destroyed im sure.
Although I have no experience using a G4 Glock, my own preference being a G2, I can think of far worse choices for a military issue pistol.
I think Canada is going to destroy a bunch of Inglis Hi-Powers soon.
There aren't many worse choices. Those stupid Glock finger bumps absolutely ruin the pistol.
G$'s are decent with the new spring. I hear peolple shoot better with the new springs (40cal) then the older ones. Good choice. Send the Brownings over here. Im sure we would buy them.
I've heard if you have larger hands (not saying you do personally) then the finger grooves don't fit your hand well. I have smaller hands and they fit me perfectly, I'm personally a huge fan of the 4th Gens, awesome frame texturing and nice mag release. My extractor was pretty erratic for the first few hundred rounds, but I'm at 700 rounds or so and it seems to have straightened itself out
UK national debt = £1,278.2 billion.
What better way to reduce it, than to sell us those surplus Brownings?
While they're at it, sell off some of those SA80 bullpups.
Breaks my heart.
x2. Our military should have done the same, or at least kept the 1911A1.
I am sure they have inventory from WW II
I do have larger hands. I can palm a basketball. The notion of putting on "one size fits some" finger bumps when no two person's hands are identical, is foolish. That is especially true for a general issue weapon that you can't dremel.
