Hello All,
This is a U.S. WWII USAAF Bomber Crew M5 Steel FLAK Helmet, not a repro. These were late war(1944) bomber crew flak helmet design, very star wars reminiciant. These are rare to find these days, many were destroyed by the war department or sold off as suplus after WW2 ended. This one was repurposed at some point with three red stripes made of tape and than painted black, perhaps for a demolition derby or something of the sort. The leather is surprisingly well preserved for 75+ years old but could use replacement leather or professional restoration for display.
Cash is king but I am interested in negotiating a trade (+/- ammo/$) involving Finnish Mosins ( m27/m28), WW2 K98, Ruger 22/45 LITE (threaded barrel), S&W Victory revolver, SKS (Russian or Norenco SKS M or D if possible). Maybe something else along these lines. I do have several things for sale right now and would entertain a combined trade.
