Well like I said before it's easy I have quit smoking a hundred times.
But I got to do it now.
And lose a few pounds and get more exercise.
I just took a physical on Wednesday.
For my D.O.T. medical card for my CDL LICENSE.
the doctor could only give me 3 month waver.
Put me on BLOOD PRESSURE MEDS .
I have 3 months to get my blood pressure down.
Or find a new Job.

Dang, that sucks. They put you on lisinopril?

I haven't had a dip in almost 3.5 years.

Go buy a new can. Walk out side and throw it in the trash. Then think to yourself "that was dumb." You'll either be a trash digging hobo or you will realize it is at the very least a waste of money. I've done that a few different times in my life (quit, fake quit, whatever you call that). This is probably the longest it's stuck.

I think about it every now and then. But it's really just a gross habit that is a waste of money.

You'll quit when you want to or if some sort of medical issue forces you to. Good luck.

So, long story short...I relapsed.

A buddy from out if town asked if I'd watch his kid, who has Down's syndrome, for a while so he and his wife could go to a concert near my house. I agreed because he's a good friend and he and his wife don't get much time together. Everything went great, they stayed over at my house after the concert.

Next day, they are ready to leave, and the kid (10 years old), somehow roostertails a stream of schit from one end of my couch to the other. Every cushion had poop on it. I ended up cleaning it all up and washing all if the cushions because they had to leave because of time constraints. I handled it great! Or so I thought.

About 30 min later, I'm with @Kruel J and I'm starting to shake with anger. I swung into a 7-11 and bought a can and I swear the anger evaporated as soon as I felt the dip in my lip. This was on April 20. The can is gone, so I start again! Maybe.

Hey now. 'Tis not my fault here. Someone looking like @No_Regerts may or may not have contributed to a great evening and a mild hangover during the 2 1/2 hour drive home. ;)

My dad smoked for as long as I could remember.
Started after college.
A few years ago had a major medical PROBLEM.
Basically cracked his chest open to fix stuff Hart problems .
Two days after the surgery .he wanted a cigarette.
The doctor told him go ahead smoke but you will be dead in six months.
He quit.
And 2 months ago he gets sick goes in to doctor.
They tell him he has PANCREATIC CANCER.
go figure.
Stopping smoking gave him a few more years but this will be the end .
He is not doing good with the treatment

I'm sorry to hear that brother. This is a one way ticket for us all.

I know I have a blood pressure thing at my house and my sister is a emt .
I can take my blood pressure and stop smoking for just 12 hours and take it again and it drops .
And stop drinking and smoking for 2 days and it's almost normal.
If I was in better shape than I am it would be ok

So I take my blood pressure with my little machine.
Then have my sister take it .
And they are almost the same I do that to make sure my machine is working right.

My blood pressure rises when my constitutional rights are messed with. gun control is a health risk.

You think I'm a @$$ hole now you just wait till I quit drinking and smoking for a few days lol .

Save Your cig money and buy ammo with it.

I take full accountability on that one. I was in a mission to get that can!

Failing, even multiple times, while quitting is nothing out of the ordinary. From what I have seen and done it seems to be rare for it to be a one shot deal. Just don't give up. A few fails along the way can still lead to you looking back some day after years of not using and laugh about it.

Lisinopril is some bad s hit, I know it caused me to wreck my van. Made my head feel funny, now I'm taking Bystolic & amlodipine & have been for years. The longer you stay on blood pressure meds, the harder it is to get off of them. I have managed to cut my dosage in half, over the last few years
