I wonder what the low skill jobs would be paying if weren't for illegals keeping them low...probably a lot more without needing to legislate a minimum wage.

Has anyone seen any stats or studies as to what fender dryers, shovel operators, leaf rakers or plate scrapers would be worth if there weren't so many illegals willing to do it for $5/hr. off the books? Or if our own engineering grads could get a job at Microsoft without competing with some guy from Delhi who'll work for $11/hour?

And, just who or how are they counting the illegal population numbers?? If 20 years ago there were 12 million...and they still say it's 12million...just where did the 500,000 per year getting in go?...shouldn't it be more like 20 or 25 million by now?

Grumpy Bulldog Immigration Reform;
1) station an armed guard every 50 yards along borders, full time, 24/7.
2) release all illegals from our prisons into tent work camps to build a triple fence along the borders. There will be no penalty for workers escaping south of the southern border or north of the northern border, or trying to swim away from the east or west coasts.
3) when their sentence is up, and the power turned on for the fence...toss them over the fence, or have the Navy drop them off on the nearest land that touches their homeland. Or give them the option of being dropped into the country that allowed then into ours?
4) If any country objects...drop off a couple hundred thousand on their border.

After the fence is up for 3 years....

5) Deduct $100,000 per illegal from the country of origins "aid" money. When that runs out we'll start secretly dropping off our criminals in their country for a change.
6) Increase the numbers for legal immigration to a reasonable level of "by the book" immigration.
7) Do not allow a first or second generation immigrant to sponsor another immigrant . A spouse and/or children that don't arrive when the application is processed don't count. NO aunts and uncles, second cousins twice removed or grammas or ex wives, second wives, etc... If a family wants to "re-unite" the ones what left them behind can always go back.
8) No more anchor babies...its cruel and they don't hold well anyway.
9) Businesses hiring illegal workers will be confiscated and sold to pay for the Border Patrol, with excess funds paid to the re-election campaigns of politicians that vote consistently for tougher immigration laws.

If amnesty was passed illegals would know all the loopholes to not pay taxes and get money back from tax payers, and continue draining medical expenses for free, welfare, food stamps, housing, obamaphones, college, etc, etc
They are nothing but an absolute drain and curse on society as we know it.

I would be okay with a more stream lined process to become a legal resident, but you should NOT in anyway way be able to get ANY govt assistance, and you should be able to speak english. You want to test and read a book about driving laws, it should only come in english. Period.

If you break laws even a minor one, or you have in the last 5 years you should be deported immediately, entry back into the US will result in death.
