The context of that message from him was fairly clear.. how on earth is that me or anyone else fully agreeing with every word Trump says?
The only people hung up on what he says are clearly people far too obsessed with him.. often people leaning heavily left.. folks with a type of derangement, hyper focused on him or anyone else the mainstream media demands they obsess about until the next political flavor of the month comes along.
Good post. I certainly don't agree with everything that Trump says. He's said a LOT of ridiculous things over the years that have made me roll my eyes and groan.
His post in question here though seems pretty commonsense to me; the government needs to either admit to the drones being theirs, or the government needs to shoot one down and figure out whose they are!

Some people like to set themselves up as above it all, tirelessly exposing the idiocy and hypocrisy of others. I've found that if you watch close enough, you most often see that they're just as bad themselves and they don't even realize it. :)

Hell, they'll even identify as drone-sexual!
Depends on the drone... ;) 1000118204.jpg 1000118203.jpg

Having a hard time finding drones that look like that video. This is probably the closest I could find.
Here's the drone from video. Looks to me like a propeller on either side and some type of bubble sensor in the middle on the bottom.

If I remember aircraft lighting correctly, red is left, green is right, front usually white, front and back strobing? Bubble thing is likely a FLIR turret type. Does look unusual layout but military.

If these drones around military places are above 100 yards, I do not think buckshot or birdshot will hit them.

Sure back in WW1 and early WW2, service rifle caliber machine guns could hit aircraft, but it needed a lot of lead up there. Quad .50s were used and mostly for low level strafing aircraft, 20mm was better; by Vietnam, 20-23mm multiple barrel setups and Gatlings were the order of the day for low altitude air defense, with higher alts being the province of cheaper, faster heat seeking missiles and radar guided missiles as well.

Soviet-Afghan war showed what happened with Stingers versus helicopters, and Somalia showed just how devasting the anti-tank RPGs were against helicopters....

Many military drones have some armoring to protect from small arms fire, but probably not from large caliber rounds like 20mm Vulcans or from missiles.

Edit, the Israeli army figured that having the .50 MG forward, low on their tank turrets worked great against helicopters hoving low/popping up from behind terrain; with the gunner laying prone on the tank roof

…. Quad .50s were used …
It would be easy to set up dual or quad 12 gauge semi autos if they have quad rail handguards, but I don't know what mechanism to use to sync the triggers. If using 3" #00 buck in 20 round drums you can fire off 15x20=300 pellets in 4 seconds per gun. So a quad would be 1200 #00 buck pellets in 4 seconds. Would need a pintel mount of some sort due to the weight.

Still doesn't have much downing power for what seem to be 6ft-15ft span drones above 1000 feet. 1000118208.jpg 1000118207.jpg

Edit
On the other hand they could literally be 2ft diameter drones at 100 feet :s0140: people are terrible at judging altitudes without something to compare to in the skies( see exaggerated size reports of birds and the like)

Can we not do a work exchange for some Ukrainians? They have lots of experience taking down russian, NK, iranian,( ..and chinese?) drones.

We can trade a couple hundred do nothing politicians for 2 good ukranians. Seems like a fair deal (for us, ha!)

Coast guard said 6 foot drones at 300' fwiw

I'm confused (and more than slightly amused!) by all the drama around this. The US militaries three favorite things are blowing things up, convincing everyone we are in imminent danger of disaster if they don't blow things up and pretending they don't know where billions of dollars went. If the mil isn't blowing these up the only logical conclusion is that they have already spent the 'missing' billions for this fiscal and have some time to kill before the next blank check rolls in
They aren't shooting them down for the same reason I'm not having the car in my driveway towed
