"Russian forces have equipped their ground units with new counter-drone technology—a buggy mounted with a 24-barrel weapon that fires buckshot-like ammunition aimed at neutralizing aerial drone threats."

Use to work at a now defunct company here in Portland by the name of Atlas Telecom. It had a few Iranians working there. We'll talking about what we did in the service one of the guys said that he was part of a two man team that rode dirt bikes up close to a tank and his job was to shoot an RPG into it at night. I would think that would be a short time job.

The easiest way to handle these would be to use NETS! The drones are said to be able to move 60-70 mph. Apache helicopters can approach (I Believe) nearly 200 knots. It would be a simple matter to release nets from the Apache's, from their weapons pylons. This could bring down the drones, mostly intact! So we could see who deployed them, where they came from, etc. Too simple for the US Govt!

The US Government knows all about these drones.
The proof is when they say things like "they don't exist" and "they are not dangerous" Okay, which is it then?
The lying feds contradict themselves all of the time.

As one Youtuber pointed out in a different vid, the "menacing" drones we are seeing, are US government drones:

1) The FAA already has rules regarding ID transponders for most drones, private or not.

2) These are large drones, not little private ones. Most private hobby drone owners do not have and cannot afford to own/operate drones of this size. Therefore, these are either commercial of government drones - most likely US government drones. If they were foreign gov drones, don't you think the US military would shoot them down?

But of course, the Congress wants to pass a bill adding more laws to control private drones, using the scary message that these drones are "menacing".

Private drones are menacing and should be rigidly controlled imo. People fly them everywhere with zero regard to how they affect others. Your whole day or vacation can be ruined with these loud bubblegumers buzzing around. I wish we could shoot them all down. If someone is flying in middle of nowhere or like a model airplane park where loud isn't going to bother anyone then it's fine. But these bubblegumers fly them anywhere. Park, beaches, monuments, your house etc.

I wonder what the penalties for accidental drone collisions are. Just being curious is all...
I had never even thought of that but it will be interesting to see how that shakes out. There are so damn many fairly nice ones out there now with price dropping. There will have to end up being some collisions. Then who will get to decide who was "at fault"? Especially if the crash ends up with someone getting hurt? This one should keep some lawyers busy.

I wouldn't be surprised if an US defense contractor is currently building a drone system that uses the jamming capabilities of the AN/ ALQ-99 jamming pod seen here, or improved versions.. it's currently deployed on EA-18 Growlers (based on Super Hornets)
