I'm not sure he can force that on individual states. And I can guarantee a bunch of state are going to be having any of that.
Seems like there are a lot of other things that are much more important at this time.

Withhold Comieformia's federal funding (huge kickbacks for hosting huge bases) and they will change their tune...
I agree more pressing matters but maybe go for the combo deal 🤔

Would be nice if it would happen.
However....
State Rights...can be a hindrance here.
Washington State for instance has some of , if not the most draconian infringements upon the 2nd Amendment.

I am all for the individual states doing what is best for them , all while also being in accordance with Federal law.
However...this will at times , also work to my and many . many others disadvantage.
Especially when there is a anti-gun governor and AG....sigh.

That's the first thing I thought of also. Somebody bringing up old stuff to try to generate views and earn money/followers. Common scam now.

Don't fall for it people! Vet your information sources!

Some states and commonwealths that subvert citizens' rights surprise me, especially considering their role in creating this nation of states.

The irony ain't lost on me either.

"...the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
Seems to me at least , that requiring a permit to carry is indeed an infringement....since it limits or undermines what the 2nd Amendment states.
However I ain't a Constitutional Lawyer or running for office...so what do I know...?

The Privileges and Immunities and Full Faith and Credit clauses in the US Constitution already provide a solid argument for national carry reciprocity. This was not the case prior to Bruen ruling that concealed carry was a fundamental constitutional right.

A statute would help. I still expect lower courts to largely mutiny until a clear USSC ruling on this.

There are already a couple of federal cases out of the East - one in DC, one in Massachusetts I believe - where concealed carry holders mistakenly and intentionally crossed state lines and were arrested for concealed carry without a permit. The purpose of this is to get these cases to SCOTUS for a ruling as it makes no sense that the 2A is the only amendment that isn't recognized across state lines. We don't require a special permit to attend a protest, write a dissenting article in a newspaper or attend a religious service in another state; why should we then be required to obtain a permit from each state we wish to exercise our 2A rights? That's the argument in front of the federal district courts in DC and MA currently.

States' rights are actually written into the federal constitution. Enumerated and reserved powers, immunities, etc.
How dare you invoke the Constitution when defending the Constitution! All you need to know is in the 2nd amendment.

Seriously, the states have the right to have some of their own regulations.
