Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Situation: Canadian Citizen wishes to transfer long guns to family member (US citizen in Oregon) by a strictly legal means. Rifles are registered in the Canadian system. TIA
Oh yeah, if the guns are "common" and replaceable then I would recommend selling them in Canada and then buying replacements in the US. Typically gun prices are higher in Canada so you would probably come out ahead.
Yup, I'd only go through the effort if they are heirlooms. (Heck, if they're old enough, they don't count as firearms by federal law, only as antiques.)
