Consider your goals before selecting a course. If you have questions about a course and if they would fulfill your goal or goals, contact the training facility well ahead of time to get your questions answered.
.
Research reviews and after action reports from other students. Check resources the instructor(s) have published such as social media posts, video content, and forum threads.
.
Assemble the gear you need for your class well ahead of time. A few weeks before the class, check over the gear list provided and make sure you have everything. If there's anything you have questions about, ask well ahead of time.
.
Make sure your gear is functional. Get out on the range and make sure everything you bring is clean, prepped and working.
.
Get plenty of rest before the course begins. A rested body and brain are key in physical performance and receiving the information the course is delivering.
.
Get to the course early. Allow for possible set backs that may cause you to be late. Have time to meet the instructor, coordinate your gear, use the restroom and take care of other possible issues.
.
Provide feedback to the instructor. Both during and after the class, spend quality time with the instructor. Give them insight about yourself and how you're receiving the information given.
.
Have fun, get involved with the course, and help others get the most out of the class as well.
