    You're welcome.

Technically, I'm a Vietnam Era vet but the only thing I ever did for my country was to change light bulbs and fuses on a Navy ship that never moved. By contrast, my nephew was in real gun fights in Iraq and if you were to get my step-Dad REALLY drunk he'd tell horrifying tales of killing people in Korea. Sober, he never shot anyone... My bio-Dad gave 20 years to the Air Force as well. I thank them.

Kind of funny but sad. Last year my dad calls on veterans day and in are talk he thanks me for my service.
I didnt do anything but serve my time. I tell him thank you. You are the one people should thank. You seved in ww2 and fought for are freedom. I heard him kind of get choked up and asked if I said something wrong. He said no but no one had ever thanked him before.
All I know about his time in is he was in the navy and on a ship. He never talks about what he did or anything.
I am sure there are many men and women out there that have served and still are that will never talk about the things they have done for us. Some go unnoticed for this reason but we need to thank them when we have a chance. Some have never been thanked in person. Maybe in a parade or something but never in person.
Thank you all for your service past and present.

On a side note we can serve the people that are serving now. You can become a hometown hero. We can help families in need from helping with a ride to the store to helping on upkeep on the house.
