I may be flamed for this, but as much as I support the work the NRA does, this appears to be another one of their thinly veiled attempts to get contact info to solicit new members or more money from existing members. What do you want to bet that within a week after submitting that petition you either get an e-mail asking you to become a member or if you are a member, an e-mail pleading for more money.

While I support the message, I doubt the NRA's motives are truly pure on this.
