Is there time a time limit for the release of a newly purchased pistol in WA state. If the local law authorities don't get back to the store within a certain time, can the store release it after ?#? days?

Yes the FFL "can" let the gun walk BUT, many will not if they do not know you. This gets beat to death here fairly often since the Fed's told WA they were done holding their hand on this. I can not blame the FFL's who will not let the gun walk even though a lot of shooters scream and yell about it. The person to be mad at is the gun owners who voted for this mess.
Meanwhile BEFORE you lay down the cash ASK the dealer how they will handle this if the state just does not get back to them. MANY lay down the cash, then get over the top angry at the dealer when the state refuses to cooperate. The time to find out is before paying for the gun.
