Yes sir, that's what I had it made for. My M595 in 223 is also listed for sale if you know anyone looking for one of these fine rifles.

I have the tikka m595 loaded in .223 rem and the wood stock seems kind of heavy. How much does this one weigh?

 

[JCORD]

It's wood as well and of comparable weight. The one thing I will say is I purchased the stock so I could preserve the original stock and intended to drill out a significant portion of the wood behind the recoil pad and fill it with foam which would lighten it up for sure.

Oh I am looking for a synthetic stock to lighten the weight of the rifle. Do you know where I could get one?

McMillan makes one for about $700 and Grayboe was willing to make one For about $450 for me but needed me to send them the rifle so they could scan the action, I just never got around to it.

I spoke to them on the phone and emailed with them, they didn't have a program for the 595 yet but we're interested in doing one but that would require me sending the rifle in. I just never got around to it
