Thread locker for Mini Thirty scope mount?

I cant keep the screws on my Ruger Mini Thirty scope mount from loosening. Im talking about the large black screws that attach the rings to the integral scope mounts. No matter how hard I tighten them, after 30-40 rounds they get loose again. Any advice on the pros and cons of using thread locking compound, or any other tricks to fix this problem, would be appreciated. Thanks.

Clean the threads with alcohol, let dry and use the blue Loctite. An inch pound torque wrench helps keep the screws even when tightening.

I second what jbett said make sure you use the blue Loctite not the red. Blue = removable, red = pain to remove!
