It's not about dissent. If it were about dissent, all of us who wrote letters, email, and awareness posts, or speak badly about Obama, would be raided.

Watch this:

I do not have faith in Obama. I believe that he is far more intelligent and educated than most pro-gunners want to admit, but I also believe that he is an "ends justify the means" politician. Given how smart he is, I believe that there are two dangerous possibilities:

1. He is truly naive, and does not believe that the US government will EVER become tyrannical

-or-

2. He pretends to not believe that this will ever happen.

Neither possibility inspires me to believe that he is worthy of deciding what is or is not in my best interest, or in the best interest of the US people.

See? Dissent.

I won't be raided or visited by "spooks", because I advocate working from within the system, for as long as that continues working. As things stand, it should continue to be the best option for some time.

The moral of this story is: don't be an idiot.

Dissent? the guys a freaking criminal committing more crimes making bombs and incendiary devices And you think this is about his flag upside down. Looks to me like they caught a very bad dude before he did more bad stuff.

My theory is the current administration is deliberately trying to run the economy into the ground as an excuse to declare martial law and socialism, claiming "capitalism doesn't work."

Your theory may vary.

Apparently the federal government can read minds, because making pipe bombs and molotov cocktails is the same as committing a "terrorist attack", whatever that is. Also would like an explanation on how putting a half gallon of gasoline in a glass bottle is considered "terrorism".

Meanwhile the state commits actual murder every day and the media cheers them on. Way to go.

Obongo was groomed by Henry Kissinger to be one of the tools Kissinger's ilk will use to destroy the USA.. Obongo is at minimum a 32nd level mason. Kissinger is a 33rd level, Illuminati. The symbols of this conspiratorial, elite society are all over your dollar bill.. they are laughing at you

Well dang it all to heck. And I mean HECK. I sure wish I would've known this along time ago. Sheesh. Now how in the heck am I going to be able to get up tomorrow and kick the heck out of my day? Those brick layers at that construction sight ... dead! Those light bulb guys .... dead. Nedermeyer ..... dead.

We have checkpoints 100 miles into the borders, we're footing the bill for the next three generations of bankers to live like demigods, we bomb whoever/whenever/wherever for whatever, we were talking about killing Americans on US soil not too long ago, we just did five months of fighting for our inherent right of self defense, people are shot everyday by cops for no good reason and the cops get paid vacations, Holder gave guns to Zetas who killed several thousand people, the NDAA passed, stop and frisk happens thousands of times every day, TSA exists, DHS exists, we are now forced to buy health insurance, we are taxed at forty percent and that tax money goes to almost nothing we need or want or would buy for ourselves if afforded the decision, overall we are robbed, intimidated, dumbed down and told to choke on it and it's been increasing in intensity and frequency for several decades.....

....dude, the tyranny that resulted in the founding of this very country revolved around the 3percent tax on a beverage. Don't be an idiot, indeed.

How in the heck did you read my post and come to the conclusion that I am happy with the status quo? I said, "don't be an idiot", and linked idiocy to the threatening of violent action, followed by surprise when those threats are reacted to. NOWHERE did I say, "things are swell, guys! Just swell!"

I can see where Aslinged is coming from, but perhaps Aslinged did not quote the right part:

I advocate working from within the system, for as long as that continues working. As things stand, it should continue to be the best option for some time.

In virtually every complaint that Aslinged mentioned, working within the system has failed. Sans the recent gun-control failures on State & Federal levels, in how many other areas does the system "continue working"? In my opinion, not one comes to mind...

Further, Obama has to recognize, probably more so than most people, the long term destructive nature of his policies within the rule of law, but also the negative effects on the general health of our political discourse. As an example: it was just revealed (again) that the government is recording every single phone call in the United States without a warrant. The precedent that this policy sets is staggering, and will undoubtedly have a chilling effect on political discourse. Your example of "dissent" is unmatched with a credible drive to actually effect positions of power (you likely have little to no capabilities to effect real change, sorry), which is entirely different than motivated activists or "terrorists" that are actually likely to do something serious. "Motivation and capability" are certainly factored in as the government picks it's targets (unless you're in Pakistan!). Motivated and law-abiding political activists are within the same spectrum of attempting to effect change as "terrorists", therefore actions targeting "terrorists" directly effect activists and by extension, effect everyone.

Is it possible to work "within the system" to stop illegal behavior of the system? I doubt it. When you suggest working within a broken system, it reads to me that you're supporting the status quo. Perhaps we just differ on if the system "continues working".

I count the recent death of the gun bill as a win, which came about because people actually exercised their voices through letter & email campaigns and by supporting advocacy groups. CISPA died, like it's predecessor, for similar reasons. These are clear indications that the system can work, if people actually use it. That is the problem, of course. Apathy and inaction in a wide range of areas lead to continued creep in the wrong direction.

Mockery is a tool of the weak minded

So, I've never heard that Obama is a Mason...not that I care, because I don't believe in the whole Masonic/Illuminati/Skull and Bones/Neo-Nazi/Communist/Jewish Muslim conspiracy theory.

I just think Obama is an elitist that believes his own press, that he is smarter than everyone else. He is, like most politicians, a megalomaniac who has surrounded himself with sycophants.

I have 3 words for these people as the tide turns: Ben Gah Zee, Ben Gah Zee, Ben Gah Zee. I truly don't think they will be able to dodge this one. Anyone know off the top of their head how long it took from Woodward's and Bernstein's story till Millhouse resigned? Oh yeah, and no one died at H20Gate.

Brutus Out

Be weary when they begin to label the General Public as Domestic Terrorists. They didn't call the Native American population, The Indigenous People of America, the called them Hostiles!
