Hello,

I'm located in the Portland, OR area and would like to offer my service to clean rifles.

There's been countless times when I get back from a shooting trip and have 10-20 firearms to clean. Sometimes, cleaning that many guns at once sucks.
If this is you, then I can be of service. I offer thorough cleaning of all forms of rifles and as many rifles as you'd like.

If you're interested please message me.
$20 per rifle.

Not that I agree with current state law, but unless you're an FFL they will not be able to leave the firearm with you and will have to be there during the cleaning process, or you will have to undergo a background check before they can leave it with you, and then they will have to have a background check in order for you give it back to them.....

Ludicrous, isn't it?

I thought it was legal for somebody to be in possession of somebody else's firearm for a short amount of time. For example, letting somebody take your rifle shooting without you being there.

Not only do you need to be an FFL for this (as i understand it) you need to contact @Joe Link to have supporting vendor status to advertise this status here.

No sir, sadly the statist loving schmucks in Salem and the proles that continue to vote them into office have made that illegal except for immediate family members.

Just don't want to see you get into a bind because some SJW sets you up for failure.

Sorry to see an idea with good intentions hit the hard deck, but this one is headed there. Thank your neighbors that have blue yard signs.

Thanks for y'all's responses. Unfortunately, my idea to make a couple bucks doing what I love to do doesn't work out.

A friend of mine is retiring from the Air Force as a light weapons armorer specialist and weapons safety trainer.
He loved his job, saw a lot of the world (some not so nice) but he as a decent retirement coming to him at a fairly young age.

OP, if you want to make a few bucks doing what you love, a class 1 Dealer/Gunsmith FFL is $200/3 years. If you got on it now, you could have it before the end of the year, assuming you meet the zoning restrictions, safe firearm storage, etc. And in your case, it should go smoothly since you actually have intent to use it for a business.

If you lived in my part of the world (Texas) I'd take advantage of your offer, it'd be worth $20.00 to me as I especially hate cleaning weapons as I take to long because I do it exhaustively.

However, I'd want to see a video or explanation of how you go about your cleaning.

Am I being particular?

Oh yeah!
