thompson .222

    can anybody tell me if my 222 can be chambered for 223.

    yes the .223 is a longer case then the .222

    On a .222 the neck starts at 35.24mm from the base

    On a .223 the neck starts at 39.55mm from the base

    SO all things being equal you should be able to ream a .222 out to .223 if I am reading the cartridge diagrams correctly
