I think you guys have it all wrong. Suppressed 10/22 is the way to go for shtf. Quiet, accurate, cheap. No need to alert the entire west coast when you are shooting your 50 w/ muzzle break. Plus I can carry 4k rounds on my person!

As for prices, well, it'll get better for everything eventually, but it will get better for the .22 faster than for the AR, that's for sure.

I just shake my head at the price people are paying for crappy .223 rifles.
$2500 - $4000. Wow.
I'm sitting here going ummmm. if you are going to spend that kind of coin on a knock off... why not just spend the money on the real deal?
$3500 will get you a FN FNC all day long. The real deal, not a knock off. Another $3000 for an auto sear and....
Well at least that is how I would spend my money if I had that much to spend.
Been looking hard at the FNC lately.
