Which Event Do You Fear The Most?

    begin quote
This is information you MUST have to understand the swiftly changing face of your nation and the world.
    1. The Gov't is Stockpiling Ammo

ammoThe Department of Homeland Security has been stockpiling ammunition over the past several months.

In fact, according to the “Washington Free Beacon” the DHS has placed two full years, which comes out to 247 million rounds of ammunition into its inventory.

Keep in mind that’s almost 1000 MORE rounds each of ammunition on hand for DHS officers than are used on average for our acting Army and military personnel.

What does the Department of Homeland Security need with all that ammunition? Considering they’re a domestic organization – it seems like a very strange purchase and allotment.

So much so that it’s prompted Republicans to introduce a new bill that would actually limit the amount of ammunition that the federal agencies are able to purchase and stockpile over the next 6 months. Representative James Inhofe (R-Okla.) has been quoted as saying that these agencies acting inside the US must provide “Transparency and accountibility” when it comes to the sizes of their ammunition stockpile. In fact, according to a recent article in US News & World Report, the GAO (Government Accounting Office) is also beginning an investigation into the matter.
    2. FEMA & The Mysterious MRE Request.

governmentOff the Grid News reported recently that FEMA (The Federal Emergency Management Agency) put in what they call a “Request for Proposal, or RFP” for close to 420 million meals.
    government
Typically FEMA does keep some emergency stockpiles of food on hand just in case of a “Katrina Like” disaster, but their usual inventory includes about 6 million meals. The RFP in question was an increase of close to 7000% (yes seven thousand percent) over what they normally have on hand. What do they know that they’re not telling us? A terror attack? Or something even worse… like a global food shortage? Global food prices have risen over 29% in the last year alone, putting them perilously close to “all time highs”. In fact, food prices are so high in some underdeveloped countries that riots have started and even industrialized countries like Japan are storing ever increasing amounts of food. Once word got out that FEMA had put in the request… it just as mysteriously vanished.
    3. They are Listening

governmentYou’d have to be under a rock to not know that the NSA is listening to your communications. And even if you were under that rock… they can still hear you. What’s been fictionalized in every CIA action movie ever.. actually exists. The government, specifically the NSA, has been listening in on millions, even billions of communications on a regular basis. In this country, and its citizens. Not only voice conversations, but your texts, your internet communications – emails and social interactions. The NSA scandal is big news but according to not only “The Source” Edward Snowden, but others – it’s just the tip of the iceberg.

There are unnamed sources who testify to the fact that there are drones in U.S. airspace capable of not only listening to your conversations, but also have the technology to record video of incredible and almost “sci-fi” level capacity, down to the street sign you live on and the tag on your car.

    Which brings us to…
    4. The Police State Near You

governmentThe terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon left many people injured, several dead, and the rest in total shock.

It also led to a shocking display of “The Police State” in action. In the days following the attack, the city was on almost complete lockdown.

Streets were bare. People stayed inside. Businesses were shuttered.

According to Bloomberg Businessweek, it cost the city approximately $333 million dollars per day while this lockdown was in place.

In addition, during the lockdown police were involved in a number of so called “no knock raids” which allow S.W.A.T teams to knock down your door, and ransack your house based on limited knowledge or even any evidence that you might be involved in any wrongdoing.

All of this comes about as we enter an unprecedented era of “paramilitary” local police forces.

According to a recent NBC News article “America's most in-demand police vehicle is a 10-officer 16,000-pound armored tank that takes bullets like Superman and drives 80 mph. The federal government buys dozens each year for local police departments. Do America's local police need tanks?”

The ACLU has even launched a campaign to assess just how militarized local police forces are becoming, requesting records on how often these types of vehicles are used. What other tactics and military equipment may be in use by your local “serve and protect” brigade? The Obama administration has even upped the ante by providing the largest increase in the original “S.W.A.T.” program.

“The Byrne program got a $2 billion surge in funding as part of the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, by far the largest budget in the program's 25-year history. Obama also gave the COPS program $1.55 billion that same year, a 250% increase over its 2008 budget, and again the largest budget in the program's history.” Radley Balko, The Huffington Post.
    5. What Does It All Mean?

governmentThe government MUST know something is about to happen. The scary statistics above indicate that some kind of event or social disorder is just on the horizon.

It’s clear the government is doing these things because they have information that you do not. In this article we’ve delved into several areas of concern. But what’s the average citizen to do when it appears the government is preparing for and onslaught of social disorder?

My advice to you is – prepare for the worse. Have extra food, water and other survivalist items stored up. It's better to have them and not need them, then to need something you won't be able to get later. end quote

Just a rehash of much already known, but still things to think about.
Prepare for the worst, pray for the best.

I was driving down Royal Ave in Eugene the other day. I was passing the local elementary school when I saw this driving towards me:

Sorry about the cropped cell phone picture that was poorly taken through my very dirty windshield. You'll also notice the unmarked sheriff car following it.

Lane County Sheriff apparently needed an armored vehicle with gun turrets for something. Maybe the bake sale at the church down the street got out of hand...
Since then my paranoia level has gone up significantly and my tinfoil hat collection has grown 10 fold.

They sure as hell look like some sort of IR and or radar receiver. And yeah probably can see through walls. Question is how hard are those lenses why Any police force would need one of those is beyond me. But I think we ALL know the answer to that, don't we?

Why would such a rig need TWO spare tires, bullet proof tires mounted to the vehicle? In what type of environment will this rig operate that it would lose 2 tires and not be reachable by a city tow truck? Why would the driver need to dismount and remount Two tires that weigh well over 100 pounds each?
    And why the 'sand rails'?

I asked the same question why two spare tires, for a local municipality, very few wheeled combat vehicles carry two spare tires.

I was curios on a few things as well note the two boxes on top they look to rotate or something rotates between them, notice the 1/2 moon groove on the forward one facing backwards. From the design and cut of the groove whatever it is that mounts between the two boxes would have rotate upwards, but would not rotate to be completely vertical.

The two boxes appear to be some kind observation port with bullet and blast resistant looking at in one cannot tell but it looks like the opposite side has observation glass as well. the rear top port also appears to have a rear facing gun mount.

The lenses in a thermal imaging camera are made from germanium. It is a metal, but will shatter like glass.
They have been tools of the police depts for 15 or 20 years. They are also used for target aquisition on military weaponry, as well as all the industrial uses they have.
They can be purchased now for as low as $1900 for a handheld by anyone, or stabilized in gimbal units for boats or vehicles. or aircraft at much higher prices.
They can lock a target or spot a jack rabbit at at 2.5 miles easily. Sensitivity commonly around 2.5 degrees temperature differential or less.. The only way to defeat it is to be at ambiant temperature, behind glass at some distance. It can view humans through walls only if they are close enough to the walls to pass a heat signature.
Some fabrics will hide you for a very breif time. A ghillie suit can hide you much longer, but it is damned hard to defeat.
Under the right conditions it can see footprints left on the ground if viewed soon after they were left.
They are also used as scopes now by military and you can buy one for 7 to 12 thousand.
They can also tell if a truck is overloaded by the tracks it leaves on the hiway.
All of this in zero ambiant light, ie: black dark night. Zero illumination needed.....zero.
A suit that can rapidly adjust its surface temperature to the surrounding air and terrain, is about all that will hide anyone. Steam will also hide things but conspicuous as smoke would be. Underground is also a means but do not be very close to any entrance or the heat from your body will register like a searchlight.
War can be a bi.tch now.
I have witnessed the results of the targeting systems in central and south America and the results for the receiver are not pleasant. They turn a 50 into a precision, never miss tool at 100+++ Mph in the air or on a vehicle. 14 shots, 14 kills. No errors and in dense jungle surroundings..speed, distance angle of fire all handled by computer.

additional note, you also witnessed this technology in desert storm. The images sent back from the nose imager that also aquired a target televised all the way to the point of impact on many missile strikes. It is common technology and has been used for 20+ years and becoming more adaptive by the year. Don't be that heat source.
But that same technology can detect illness, pulled muscles, sore throats, inflamed organs and body parts thus used in medicine also.
anyone on the forum can get these things if you have the finances to do so.
One more use is on trucks. A device mounted to a mirror looking down to the road can tell a driver when he is on black ice.
Coarse low res imagers have been around even longer and used in industry and home for detecting escaping heat, or hot spots in electrical equipment.

enlarging the image the boxes on top look like 2 gun turrets with the GPAWSM removed. There is a high lift jack mounted on the roof and a black bar mounted on the side. There is a pulley system above each spare tire the driver's side pulley is pointing downward and the passenger side is pointed upward.
what county is Eugene in, does the Sherriff dept. have a web site??

You don't expect the cops to oppress you with just nightsticks and pistols, do you? Why wouldn't your local police officer have weapons of war, while trying so hard to stop you and I from having arms AT ALL, and if we do, then no more than 10 rounds in the mag?

At this point, if you think that we DO NOT live in a forced police state, you are either brainwashed or one of them. It really is that simple.

Shoot fire Billybob, I'll bet those "spare tires" can be lowered with the tail gate and help that sucker bridge trenches, pick up LE on the fly, etc. A tough nut no doubt. And way over the top that a deputy dawg
department would need. Still, a well placed intrauterine device might be a acceptable contraceptive.

A rig like that is meant to wipe out pedestrians en masse. The big tires are handy for driving over the corpses/victims.

All of this is to prepare for the coming economic collapse. But the sheep say baah.

Those of us with our eyes open and know what is coming in plain sight have to (yes, I know sick!) chuckle at the 98% - the deluded, apathetic folks who believe all is well. That their planning for the future, sending junior to college, funding that IRA, what the hell let's have another kid! - makes sense about now.

The NORMALCY BIAS wreaks like a pile of feces.

No, you are living in the eye of the Fourth Reich hurricane. Sooner or later, there is a storm coming and the longer it takes to get here the worse it will be. All of our lives will never be the same, that is if we live through it. If there was ever a populace worthy of what is coming upon them it is Americans. You didn't care a less about what our Empire was doing to that family 7450 miles away therefore don't be surprised when no one cares about what is going to happen to you and yours.

The Oligarchs and social planners look upon us as insects and cattle and that is exactly how we will be treated.

Don't lose sleep over stuff like this.

    Don't become a depressed case.

Instead know that your time is limited as a 'free' person and you should enjoy every day you have like it is your last and be appreciative of everything around you; love and laugh NOW. Now matter how hard you may believe things are at present, these are indeed the last of the good times.

It is possible to be aware of reality and not be in La-La Land like the 98% and still be able to enjoy your life. You have more time also to focus on more important endeavors and issues than the false crap that has been laid out in front of the sheep to keep them preoccupied or entertained.

While it does look like there is a hydraulic platform at the rear of the rig there is no way those tires can be attached to it and there is no drop down rear hatch, just a swinging door. Forward of the front turret there is a tan, verticaly oriented rectangular structure perhaps 6X14" in size. I assume that it is a protective cover for a FLIR/NV periscope unit but it might be an orange flashy light thingy

This is a result of baseline budgeting, if you don't know what that is, you should go look it up. Do you know why Obama has been able to spend OVER 1 trillion more dollars per year than any of his predecessors? Because just as he was coming into office the congress and GWB had signed TARP... which authorized the spending of 785 billion dollars to bail out the banks, the insurance companies and everyone else. Since then neither the house nor the senate has had the balls to reign in spending because the first thing that's going to happen is everyone is going to cry "OMFG SPENDING CUTS TO EDUCATION". Since these agencies have nothing they actually need, they go around and find things to buy like APCs, millions of rounds of ammo, MREs and all kinds of other recoculous things.

If instead of spending all that money on APCs and ammo they had dumped it into the space program, I would be making this post from mars right now, and I would still be telling you you're smoking crack.

Have you ever tried to drive over a body? BODIES ARE SLIPPERY!!!! You think black ice is bad, TRY DRIVING OVER A BODY! SWEET MOTHER OF JESUS!!!

Nah, what this is is obama dollars being spent on something, they needed to spend the money or loose it, and they couldn't think of anything else to buy.

I'm pretty sure if you slashed the tires on one side of the vehicle, and then caused it to initiate any kind of chase it would fall right over.

Seriously guys, quit being such a bunch of babies. Big scary police car made you cry.

    Great thread!

Good info Taku! You must be involved in the thermal imaging industry!

We had so much weatheriztion done on our home, Energy Trust of Oregon audited us, passed with flying colors

I helped the girl moving equipment etc and at the end she says "would you like to see what's in your walls as a comp"

Went room to room with her thermal camera looking at insulation inside the walls, pretty cool

I keep thinking that it's for assaults on tweakers and Cartel grow operations..... even though there are several places with "medical marijuana" licenses..... I mean...I do seem to remember something about how we have so much meth and how we have several illegal marijuana grow operations in the State and National Forests...(another thing; that vehicle is in Green, not urban camo or Coyote sand/tan; thus it's more oriented to country and wooded areas; but also used in urban ops)

EDIT: also; the "sand rails" on the sides provide a handy place to hold a squad of 6 assault troopers for quick de-bussing operations and raids;...

Thank God they are just buying this stuff to spend money and not keep us under their thumb. Are you joking? Are police killing Americans because they need to spend money on lawsuits and bullets? Wow.

No, they're killing americans because they're a bunch of poorly managed 15 year old boys high on power and money with not enough accountability.

The point I keep trying to make is that they are going to need many multiples of their current budget and staffing levels to even pretend to "keep us under their thumb". All those goofball cops riding around on the side of the MRAP are little more than casualties waiting to happen, whether it's from a poorly timed dip in the road, an in-attentive driver, or someone with a sharp stick.

Freedom starts with your state of mind, fear is the most difficult prison to escape from. Whether you fear muggers, rapists, cops, tweakers, it doesn't matter. I look at the development of the emerging police state with alarm, however I'm not here to spend my life talking on the internet saying I will do something in the future, or saying others should do something so I don't have to. I am doing things about it in my community, I attend city council meetings, I speak out, and I since I volunteer with the police department I actually help them put together TTPs that don't put such a heavy emphasis on military style tactics. This is especially true because I frequently play the part of OPFOR in their force on force training. Whenever they roll in like an assault squad I take them apart, I usually "die" also, but taking 3:1 losses is more than they can afford. Which is a major reason they have refocused on surveillance and arresting people when they're at the grocery store.

Why aren't the hippies up in arms protesting this sort of thing? They get worked up with feeble protests and drums and such over things thousands of miles away in other lands. This is right in their face! They need to vandalize it with peace signs and flowers or something to make a statement.
