My uncle had a 1974 pinto stock that he would 1/4 mile drag it . Straight 4 banger with stick shift . He would run 19.9 seconds in the 1/4 . He usually would make it through the bracket rounds because the guys he ran against either red lighted being over anxious waiting to go or the others didn't have a good reaction time . He and the IED were very consistent . :)
There was a guy down here bracket racing a Buick station wagon he ran in the 19's as well but he ran so consistent no one could better him. That was 78-79 at Woodburn
 
You know the anti-gunners and Lip lards are crying their eyes out right now about the barbarism of killing these poor animals while they eat their steaks and chicken pilaf.
Many the same folks it would bother have caused, accepted, or enabled enough societal ruination and moral degradation to make me not only cry, but make me ashamed for the new world. I stand on higher moral ground earned by seniority.
 
Somewhere we have pictures of Grandpa at a hunting camp. I believe the Ochcoco's and in the 40's some were quite comical, as I remember.
