In the East Bay Reginal Parks HQ in Oakland (SF Bay Area), There's a photo of a Sequoia fell on the building's site from the 1800s It's a little bigger than that tree, and next to it there's another picture of a grove of those monsters taken on 1st Street in downtown San Jose around the same time. PAX.Saws were bigger

They even had explosive cars, nice!Outdoor gun show behind Stan's Gun Room, Santa Ana, Calif., 1972. Stan opened up the parking lot behind his store once a month, I think it was a Saturday. No charge. No forms, no BGC, no waiting period, strictly cash and carry. Oh, silver coins were accepted in barter even then.

That camo poncho liner ! Oh , woobie, how i miss you.
My uncle had a 1974 pinto stock that he would 1/4 mile drag it . Straight 4 banger with stick shift . He would run 19.9 seconds in the 1/4 . He usually would make it through the bracket rounds because the guys he ran against either red lighted being over anxious waiting to go or the others didn't have a good reaction time . He and the IED were very consistent .You know, back in the day, millions of people drove those things. I never liked them but even the US Army had some.
More of the crew. We took a bunch of elk out of that camp. We worked our azzes off to get them. Two have died, one is in bad shape. The 2014 date on the pic is wrong. Probably about "88"View attachment 1995945two of the "crew" from about thirty five years ago.
I had a 74, which had fatter bumpers than shown. The Mazda GLC that rear-ended me in on I-5 was not drivable and needed to be towed. My Pinto suffered a bent license plate/frame and tailpipe. I got $311 from the insurance company.
Very nice!
