LiveLeak.com - Undefeated - The Toughest Bridge in the World

I have to wonder what sort of effect that bridge has on the unemployment numbers?
Yep we have one of those too.
Truck Slams Into Railroad Trestle On 1st Avenue In Albany
Love it! The small child in me (that is me) is easily amused!
WOW as a past School bus driver and currently a Dump truck driver. I can tell you those last 4" between 11'8" and those 12' tall trucks is a bubblegum LOL.
We pave roads and are constantly dealing with over head wires and trees. Always mindful.
I noticed a couple of those hits managed to move the bridge pretty good.
When they repave the road and lay down the asphalt thicker do they replace the signs that tells the drivers what the clearance is?
Amazing! Can you imagine having to call your boss and tell him what you just did to his truck??
I noticed at Budget rentals they had pictures of people doing this with their trucks and that specifically these types of accidents are NOT covered by the optional insurance.
I need to go double check I know how high my trailer is!
very seldom do they repave under the overpass because it involves more than changing a sign, like trucker gps's, maps, ect.
That sucker is low. HAHAHA. I really don't think drivers can prepare for that with just the flashing sign ON THE BRIDGE, comeon!
I believe the standard is 14' on interstates.
Different states have warnings, like Oregon - even these are over 12' - that killer bridge is 11' 8"! Damn.

When I first got my commercial license, The instructor asked me after we went under an overpass; What was the height of the bridge And truck?
Wake up call !!!
Some times they will grind the asphalt under the bridge before they repave.
I sense a great business opportunity at this location....
love it that there is a permanent video installed at that location. lmao.
Rail road wants to know who to go after for repairs.
