    I found a copy of this text when I was a kid (which I still have). It's got to be one of the best survival books ever written, especially for it's time (1950's). The traps and lures section is awesome. FYI some of the navigation and food section is only applicable to the Southern Hemisphere.
    Turns out it's now available to view online. Thought I'd post here for all to enjoy.

    I'm a huge fan of the Foxfire series myself.

    I can see how they both would have their place...
