Applebee's is our go-to dinner place. Occasionally, when my sweety has obligations elsewhere I'll sit at the bar and have honey-BBQ wings and Heineken while reading a book; I just like the atmosphere and the waiter doesn't bug me because they know I TIP.

In the news, Starbucks employees are striking for an immediate pay raise of 64% and 77% by the end of a 3 year contract (source NBC News).

Although I don't know how that affects the pay in WA state, which most employees start in the low 20/hr range, at least in Everett, WA stores.

So, it could mean baristas making about $30/hr.
You. Have. Got. To. Be. Kidding!

I bet they still ask for a tip

The way I heard it this morning on the radio was, they believe they should get a living wage for making/serving fancy coffee. What the hell kind of parents did these brats have?

And probably the most acid rich black coffee you will ever drink. Horrible. I used to be addicted to star bucks had to start my day off by dropping 5 to 8 dollars ever morning around 5 am. And then again around 10 am $50 a week at minimum. I decided one morning with Horrible service never again. I have been brewing cowboy coffee ever since, feel better and way more money in my pocket and the way I prep my morning coffee for the week I have alot more time. Get away from the girly coffee drinks and you will be healthier and happy.....due to the fact that you have more time on hand and money in your pocket. Save money and shoot more.
Happy holidays to all you gun loving Americans.

As the unions lose relevance in productive endeavors (through outsourcing of American jobs) they latch on to remaining opportunities.
Goes to show that unions are only in it for themselves.

What is really sickening, and why I stopped buying at Starbucks coffee shops, is how these protesters try to conflate unionizing with the alphabet soup narrative. Every picture I see of protesting baristas includes plenty of display of "pride" and socialist symbols.

It's the tail wagging the dog

Off topic some. Seeing/hearing commercials in the last couple weeks for some .ORG that advocates for the lgbtq+++ to help them start businesses. Is there some reason that "community" needs special help, from donations, to start businesses?
DEI needs to DIE out.

Is it me or are these American teenage fast food workers looking old these days.
Exactly! It might be that no one partners up/gets married/forms a union....and has two incomes to support themselves? It's an echo....."Those jobs aren't supposed to fully support a single person with no extra education". WTH happened in this country? Also, odds are, I might think, these people don't work 40 hours a week, and, if it's like other no/low education jobs, a lot of these people call in sick 1-3 times a week for their 4 hour shifts. And a lot of them are having KIDS!!! They know what causes that now! You can keep from having kids before you can afford them!!

This is a brand new memory lane video. I posted this to show the once memorable restaurants even kentucky fried chicken. When you say its a bucket, it's all the way to the top.
I remember I can plan my 20 bucks almost the whole day!
