You get to see it just as I saw it! LOL!

The serial places the date of mfgr. on the receiver at May 1945. The rest of it I'll have to find out when I detail strip it. This is a CMP Special with new Criterion barrel, new stock, and all parts refurbished. I'm going to head over to the woodworking store and get some pure tung oil for the stock. I'll post pics when it's done!

That's because my brand new workbench was just completed yesterday! I haven't had time to mess it up yet! Just got a wood vise for it today, and I still need to drill some holes for bench dogs and board jacks and such. I'm also going to add drawers underneath to keep all my cleaning and reloading supplies.
 
Looks great, its fun opening that box isnt it!

I also suggest using boiled linseed oil, it really brings out the color. Here is a pic of my special after I used linseed oil on it.
