You get to see it just as I saw it! LOL!

The serial places the date of mfgr. on the receiver at May 1945. The rest of it I'll have to find out when I detail strip it. This is a CMP Special with new Criterion barrel, new stock, and all parts refurbished. I'm going to head over to the woodworking store and get some pure tung oil for the stock. I'll post pics when it's done!

I find your workbench to be disturbingly clean and tidy despite your nice rifle.

That's because my brand new workbench was just completed yesterday! I haven't had time to mess it up yet! Just got a wood vise for it today, and I still need to drill some holes for bench dogs and board jacks and such. I'm also going to add drawers underneath to keep all my cleaning and reloading supplies.

Nice M1. I've been using Boiled Linseed Oil on my old nice shooting H&R M1 from 1957. Still shoots sub-stahlhelm at 200 yards. I just ordered another racker from CMP.

Yeah, I think I hate you now too. :D

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that "Ping".

Nice straight grain on the stock. Good looking gun. Congrat's.

Looks great, its fun opening that box isnt it!

I also suggest using boiled linseed oil, it really brings out the color. Here is a pic of my special after I used linseed oil on it.

Yep, that's exactly what a rifle should look like. Very nice.
