Not surprising. Traffic laws do not apply to cops, on duty or off. That is true everywhere and all the time. As you go up the felony scale your buddies are still likely to look the other way. Flash your badge and whatever bad behavior you have been up to is probably let off with a warning, even if you don't know the cop that caught you. 'Professional' courtesy.

These 'loyal deputies' need to be fired.
