ATF and Pistol Braces - the controversy is reignited and its going to be messy. Lots of folks reaching out and asking what they should do, and wanting to "get ahead" of the ATF. Don't get ahead of the ATF, stay behind them where they aren't looking at you.
Hold your water folks. If you have a Honey Badger, than we certainly recommend following Q's advice for compliance, and they are offering to pay for your $200 tax stamp (a stand up move, kudos to Q).
If you're one of the millions of pistol brace owners, be patient. ATF hasn't gone after SB tactical, KAK, or a host of other vendors. Nor have they gone after Sig, S&W, Springfield, CMMG or the myriad of other manufacturers that are shipping AR pistols. Time will tell if they choose to pursue the entire category of PSBs, but don't wait on them to make another rule without public input.
Firearm Policy Coalition and others have drafted letters to the DOJ informing them of their intent to file federal lawsuits to prevent this rule from taking affect. I would fully expect GOA, SAF and the NFA to all get on the same team here and work together.
So, what can you do today? First, email your federal representatives and let them know how this impacts you and your family. VOTE, you must vote PRO GUN in this election. Make no bones about this fact, the Democratic party platform, both state and federal, is to strip away your gun rights. It is absolutely critical to vote, even in this blue state we can make an impact if we all actually vote. Lastly, make a donation to your favorite gun rights group, those that are in the courts and fighting, not the johnny come lately organizations that want your money and do nothing. We highly recommend the Second Amendment Foundation.
If Form 1's are required, we will help y'all that don't have finger prints and photos. We'll set up something special to get those done for you quickly, so that you can file your Eform 1.
So, be patient for now. Get active in the fight for your rights. We have lots of great things coming here in Washington and we'll need everyone's help.
