BHO promised to fundamentally change America and I fear he was more successful than many of us could have imagined possible.

IMO that BHO was a man of his time... a product of another political machine but successful in that people were more bamboozled by their own ignorance of what he wanted to do. 10 years later, more people are agreeing with what he wanted to do.

If gun control takes hold, there will be no stopping the revolution the socialists are running. And if socialism comes, I believe communism will happen not long after. They just won't call it that.

In the dismal pre-SB 941 days, an attempt was made here on the forum to get a group together to discuss what we could do to address the soon-to-be law. A few of us reached out to members for suggestions and commitments to attend a meet-up somewhere in person.

The responses we received, while supportive, were non-committal. Reasons for not being able to attend ranged from conflicts with work schedules, living too far out and so-on. The most memorable response, from a long time NWFA member, Sgt. Nambu, who advised he would have loved to go, but didn't think he had the strength to make it. We all lost a good friend shortly after that day.

As we learned from SB 941, drooling over a keyboard isn't going to accomplish anything. To borrow from Sean Connery...."What are you prepared to do" ?

And there will be a small armed rebellion, desperately trying to hold onto the remnant of the republic... The masses won't awaken to what's going on until America has gone full Venezuelan, but alas it'll most likely be too late...

Amen Brother! We did try to get an organized group together, but there just wasn't enough passion or commitment. But there sure was displeasure in having SB941 shoved down our throats...

I see the same dismal attitude today. We can't fight proposed legislation when, as a whole, we're not willing to sacrifice time and comfort to save these critical civil rights for ourselves, our children and grand children. And is really the reason why I see further restrictions on our rights, with only a faint whimper from our side...

Gov. Browns bill HB 2251 is going to give a legal definition to the term "assault rifle". I believe this is intended to aid other legislation which will target these newly defined firearms. I also believe that the following three sections are going to allow the newly defined definition to apply to manual loading firearms that share the listed platforms and or resemble any of the listed platforms.

The key sections I am referring to are:

(3)(a) "Assault rifle" means:
(A) A selective-fire rifle capable of fully automatic, semiautomatic or burst fire at the
option of the user, or any of the following: (it goes on to list many different platforms including AR15, AK47, etc)

(C) A copy or duplicate of a firearm described in paragraph (a)(A) or (B) of this sub-
section with the same capability as the copied or duplicated firearm;

(G) A part or combination of parts designed or intended to convert a rifle into an assault
rifle as described in paragraphs (a)(D) to (F) of this subsection, or that can be assembled into
an assault rifle as described in paragraphs (a)(D) to (F) of this subsection

I would like to be wrong about my beliefs here but it seems pretty clear they are trying to cover all the bases with this language. This bill will be used to assist others with legislation imposing more restrictions on "assault weapons".
Gov. Brown is an unconstitutional tyrant. Article VI: Defund, Disbar, and Discharge him from Office!

Not sure what exactly the citizens can do to fight such disregard for the Constitution other than by utilizing the provisions of the Constitution itself.
If they won't listen to the utmost law, then what kind of bellyaching could we conjure up that would stop them?

As far as I'm concerned, regular donations to organizations that can use lawyers to shut them down/tie them up is about the only way I can see to get it done...other than using that handy Constitutional right of ours.
