Yep. The Winchester Ranger shown in the ad was not introduced until about 1985 and the price shown is probably late 80s early 90s.Mid 80's at least.
Yes indeedTo put it in perspective, though, the median household income in 1985 was only $23,620.
I was born in 61 and was hunting my first year in 73 but I had no clue about gun prices back then.Could be.
I was born in 72 so I wouldn't know first hand.
I thought clayco aks dropped in the 80s
Regional price differences then and now.I was born in 61 and was hunting my first year in 73 but I had no clue about gun prices back then.

I had 2 Polytech AK's in the early 90's. Like 94. One folder and one fixed. I paid almost $600.00 for each. Today, Polytoech's are going for as much as $2,300.00. I have seen the price tags. Can't be from the 70's, I purchased a NIB Polytech (Chinese) AKM for $250 from an FFL back in '89, or was it 90'?

I remember picking up some AK47's from some PDF soldiers in December of '89....
Long story...and truly epic , songs and sagas should have written about it....
