This is unbelievable. The First Amendment is the cornerstone of our democracy.

THIS BILL WAS PASSED QUIETLY LAST THURSDAY NIGHT.

New law makes it illegal to protest in Obama's presence!!!!!! Nothing surprises me anymore with this guy, but what does surprise me is that this bill was overwhelmingly
passed by both the House and the Senate. That really scares me.

This means that, wherever Obama is at, you do not have a right to ask him anything you want to. His secret service can have you arrested, fined, and imprisoned for more than a YEAR if you ask him something he doesn't like.
    WATCH AND BE AMAZED .

The Constitution means nothing to these people. It's always getting in the way, a nuisance to "progress".

    Welcome to the Fourth Reich.

The bottom line is the great experiment is coming to an end. No phony political theater is going to change that fact. Pre-selected puppets to appease the gullible masses as more is taken away from us to satisfy our owners thirst for ultimate power. The slaves have made it clear time and time again that every abuse or lie is perfectly fine.

All of our 'rights', including the 1st and the 2nd, are temporarily granted liberties/privileges only at this point. What we have is the illusion of freedom which is better than nothing; it will eventually digress into a boot on our necks.

Enjoy what 'freedoms' or illusions you have of same, while they last.

When the economy collapses, everything will leapfrog ahead toward oppression. A starving, desperate populace does not make demands as to their rights as they are on their knees begging for a handout.

Yes folks, it is "death by a thousand cuts" for the Bill of Rights.
They're going through it one amendment at a time. Guess which one's next, right after the 1st?

There's another thread around here, where a number of members say things like this CAN'T happen,.... :noway:

Remember, both parties supported this completely. They are all bought and sold. As I have said before, your liberal or conservative views mean alot to you and I, but the R's and D's that we vote for couldn't possibly care less. Kip

Doesn't the old saying go "The First protects the Second, the Second protects all the rest"? Well, now that the First is out of the way...

The OP subject title was also an issue. America was never to be founded as a Democracy. We are (supposed to be) a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy. In a democracy, the mob/majority rules. Even at the expense of the individual. In a Constitutional Republic, the individual is empowered. What is very sad is that 90% of the people when asked would say we are supposed to be a democracy. Or that we are 'spreading democracy' to others (barf!).

That is why the game is lost already. How can a population of non-thinking drones ever complain about their 'rights' being taken away when they haven't spend 15 minutes in their worthless lives investigating what type of government they are supposed to have?

Ask them which Kardashian is married to what NBA player and they'll tell you that though! They can name every player on their favorite team.

"The world is filled with all sorts of entertainments and distractions to keep the human mind busy so you don't do too much thinking. Don't pay attention to the important things, the people who are planning out your life behind closed doors." - J. Maxwell

Remember the Romans had the colluseams to entertain the masses. They didn't notice the collapse in progress either. Compare that to today. It is a wonder that the average individual can think at all, or can focus even for a minute on anything important. The current populace of the USA is a tyrannical government's wet dream.

Frankly, if any of the founders of this country could time travel to today they would simply die of disgust.

You see, actually some folks did know it existed. Anyone that has ever attended an event where a President or Vice President were present knows that there is a "protest zone". The fact that they have made it clear to go forward with felony prosecution may be an issue. The fact that they want it to be clear that you can now be "detained" for a year without a charge filed could also be an issue. That was an issue when our last regime did it to terrorists, but now that a bill is passed to make it just that much easier to do it to Americans, we should pay no attention. Also, your articles are by the ACLU and Salon.com. They protect Obama and his crew at any cost the way they trashed Bush with or without reason. Kip.
