Hey! it worked! Back from a month in Montana with one goal being taking a good Pronghorn with the Shiloh Sharps I bought last year. Caliber: .40-50 Sharps Bottleneck (the smallest original Sharps cartridge ever offered).

Ballistics are impressive to say the least: A 400g Snover-style cast lead bullet, exiting the muzzle at a blistering 1186fps! Watch out, Weatherby guys.

Oi ! That's a proper hunt ! BTW I found three antique brass cases about two miles from my home in the Big Belts. Two were 45-70 the other a 45-90. No arrow heads yet. Good hunting. Think of Charlie Russell's painting "Better than Bacon"
