Two Soviet Tank DIVISIONS - spanked by farmers...

# # # # #

The battle for Grozny, the capital of the small Russian Republic of Chechnya, took place in January 1995. It pitted a hastily assembled and unprepared Russian force against a Chechen force of regulars and guerrillas equipped with Russian weapons and a belief in their cause. The Chechens held their own for three weeks but eventually lost the city to the Russian armed forces in late January (the Chechens retook the city in August 1996).

Both sides learned or relearned many lessons of urban combat, most of them the hard way.1 This article examines the most important of those lessons, the interesting and perhaps surprising conclusions drawn by the Russians about modern urban warfare, and their implications for US soldiers and urban warfare theory.

1) We note that the T-72 Main Battle Tanks couldn't elevate the main gun enough to fire at the upper stories of the buildings from which the Chechens dropped molotov cocktails and fired RPGs. When they figured out what the problem was, they replaced the tanks with Zsu23/4s, which worked a lot better.

2) IMHO, We the Peons here could learn from the Chechens about dealing with the appurtenances of tyranny. The Rus were surprised at how effective and ferocious the Chechens were. It also seems like a good bet that the ***NEW AND IMPROVED*** inclusive armed forces composed of drag queens, woke women, and trannies will be less effective due to the ***NEW AND IMPROVED*** part.

3) Another good bet: .gov and their media lackeys will be smearing any opposition to the ***NEW AND IMPROVED*** progressive agenda as hate-filled treason. A BLM/Antifa mob burning and looting will be "peaceful protesters" while any action by our side will be prosecuted as hate crimes, sedition, felonious mopery, and anything else they can think of.

"If your enemy is secure at all points, be prepared for him. If he is in superior strength, evade him. If your opponent is temperamental, seek to irritate him. Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant. If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them. If sovereign and subject are in accord, put division between them. Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected." – Sun Tzu
