We're lucky the Supreme Court has held that the Bill of Rights applies to the states as well as to congress and they applied that principle again in the D.C. case. Without the two nominees by Bush that split decision would have gone the other way. The two Supremes nominated by Bama will be no help. Liberal thinkers have little respect for restrictions. Their general mindset is "we're in charge here and who do yo people think you are anyway."
OK, they picked to support your side on that one issue, due to the same two justices they picked against every citizen of the US in the Citizen's United case, that now allows unlimited money to flow from corporations into our electorial processs during the last 90 days of an election. In short, a giant step against citizens right to representation, and by that, against the constitution. If your ideal pictue of a future america is one where big business and big government become one, form a tyrany, and dictate to the public, then you can thank your good buddies, the Bush appointed SC justices. While your at it why don't you investigate the sort of justices your man Bush appointed to the federal courts, they also believe that justice is only the intrests of the stronger party.
