The ATF is at it again, now harassing FFL's who follow state law...

If a state says its legal, the federal government should honor that.
The supressor thing makes perfect sense, legal if purchased and owned in state.. if you move out of state there should be a streamlined service where you can file exempt ownership paperwork that lets the AFT know you were a resident of said state that allowed the legal non NFA purchase BUT are no longer a resident of that state.
This way it keeps the straw purchasing of NFA items down and still nabs anyone that illegally sells/moves one into a controlled state.

Before the flaming starts, Im simply playing the devils advocate and covering how this can work and how (to me) it makes sense. I agree the NFA should be abolished an its a pointless mafia orginization.. but that is not the hand we are dealt currently.
What Im saying is, States should be able to tell the fed to pound sand.. yet we have this Federal authoritarianism going on where states have to bend the knee.. if a state passes a law that does not align with fed law.. it can be easily adjusted to work.. but they arent doing that.. and its for political reasons.
