I made a holster for my Browning 380, while stationed at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska, in 1962.
I was carrying it one night as I stopped my bus at the guard shack, while leaving post with a few soldiers aboard.
I checked in at the guard shack and got back on the bus.
Then, I saw my black 380, in plain sight on the white snow, outside.
That feeling was terrible, as I walked over and picked it up, hoping no one would say
anything.
Wow, what a relief that nobody else saw it.
Coulda done a bunch of time, for that.
I made a retention strap, after that.
