Texas Governor Greg Abbott has signed open carry legislation today while visiting a gun range in Pflugerville, a sharp contrast to a bill introduced in Congress the other day seeks to require would-be handgun buyers to get permission from police before they go shopping.

Still need a CHL to open carry in Texas. Pretty strange to realize people in Seattle have better gun laws than people in San Antonio.

A Concealed Handgun License for Open Carry. They are not as smart as I think sometimes.

But it is nice to see that there are still governors out there that care about the rights of the citizens they serve AND are willing to put their signature to a bill to prove it.
