I was eying that "sniper" Sks without a gas tube turning it into a bolt action.
I couldn't understand how the entire rifle would have survived (optic included) yet the gas tube succumbed to so much rust and damage that it was the single part that was tossed.

I would have liked it more if they used a yugo SKS and switched the gas valve on and off for "long range"/suppressed shots or something of that nature so it made a little more sense.

I went in wanting to hate the second Mad Maxine but it wasn't quite as terrible as I thought it would be. It's dumb fun.. but still a decent mindless action movie. I liked the nod to the original road warrior where he is over looking the bluff watching the chaos down below while eating a can of something. That was fun.
I don't know enough about it to even know what it was. I just thought it was some dragunov svd or whatever they are called. I liked the double barrel sawed off pistol.

That one was weird looked like a lemat revolver that she loaded a cartidge in the lower barrel from the front. Hollywood craziness I guess. I like the brass shotgun shells too.

Nice! Does it use standard saiga mags? I love the 12 gauge drums despite being made by promag (which I normally despise ha ha). Very compact and can use 10 round stick mags for reloads. I've found the 20 round promag drums to work just fine also. 20 and 12 round drums shown on lynx 12:

The best functioning were the MD Arms drums but apparently they don't make them anymore.

I keep a Vang Comp Mossberg 590 by the bed. 18.5" barrel with a Bantam stock. I like compact shotguns and this shotgun was my choice in 3 of the 4 tactical shotgun classes I've taken;
I've had it for over 25 years now.

Yeah, enjoyed it, but I went into it with the expectation that it's a Mad Max movie, plus I have a penchant for the sci-fi genre, although this might be post-apocalyptic fantasy? Similar expectations for the John Wick movies.

Semi-auto: Remington 11-87P w/Side Saddle, +2 magazine extension, SureFire fore end.

Semi-auto/Pump: Benelli M4 w/Side Saddle, +2 magazine extension, combination laser & flashlight attachment.

Do you have a mag extension on yours? The lower price point than the LE/Tactical models are attractive, but I'm unsure about any mag extensions.
Yes.

I specifically went with the competition model because it is threaded for removeable chokes, which happen to be the same chokes as my Beretta A400.

The 1301 doubles as my turkey hunting gun.

What lock is that you have the shotgun mounted to the wall?

It's called a ShotLock. It's got a lot of great features, but a couple of serious flaws. Fortunately, I don't expect most burglars to know about them, and the most egregious flaw is mitigated by bolting the lock to the wall, which Gary has already done. The remaining fix is probably as simple as pouring some super glue into the hole.

At present, I have many shotguns. I consider all of them potentially defensive in nature due to their multiple projectile basic design feature. Most of mine have short barrels, a few have long.

Two of my shotguns are my longest-owned firearms, one from 1966, the other from 1970.

My thanks to Flopsweat for fielding that question with more info than I could have provided.

One practical note: Considering that the shotgun itself could be used as a lever to pry the Shotlock off the wall, a very solid mount is essential. If the chosen location is only backed by sheetrock on studs spaced 16"apart, then some thoughtful wall reinforcing is needed.

Very good point. If you have the money, a hidden wall safe might be a good idea.

18.5 mossberg 500 wit 4 buck. Magpul SGA stock and a 6 shell frame saddle.

My current living situation(s) don't lead to me using a shotgun as an effective home defense weapon. That whole "what's beyond your target" thing, which actually means that I don't have a great option for home defense firearm at current.

I was gonna suggest some guns but then I see you are in WA. That's makes it really tough. Maybe look into frangible #00 buckshot?

Edit: I was just thinking that pistols without threaded barrels are an option in WA. So perhaps a braced 17L, g40, g34/35 or Glock SBR. Fe something like this (minus the threaded barrel unless you already have one).

I have sufficient options of stuff to pick. It's more of the shooting lanes in the places I live currently leave too much of a risk for collateral damage.
