...because no one under 21 should have access to firearms. Lets check off a few boxes:

Armed ex-boyfriend shows up armed and angry (Was there a protection order)
Juvenile has access to a (presumed) unlocked firearm and protects her family

Based on proposed laws in the PNW both scenarios are virtually impossible. So they will have you believe.

Teen stabbed by an intruder fights back with a gun in Spanaway

A 16-year-old Spanoway, WA girl fought back with a 22 pistol when her neighbors ex-boyfriend stabbed at her six or seven times with a knife.

Too bad Washington I-1639 would make the girl the bad guy.
