Battle of the Nations is an international European martial arts tournament. Some old friends with whom I used to do some of this kind of stuff have gotten involved in TotN and Team USA.
Team USA has released a video of some of the highlights of their first official practice:

I thought some of you might get a kick out of it. Yes, those are real weapons made of steel (with blunt edges). No thrusting allowed. When you get hit on the helmet with a 5 pound steel blade being swung by a 225 pound guy you do get to see some stars...and other things.
