That would fall under the SBR .
AOW is Any Other Weapon.

If you do a VFG, it would be considered an AOW. However, the MAKING tax is $200. The TRANSFER tax is $5.

Yep AOW, but to save the $$ you need to find your local area dealer that will help.

My $0.02- pay the $200 and SBR it, AR's are soo much better with a stock IMHO.

If you are paying $200 to build anyway why not get the SBR stamp, DON"T ADD A STOCK, keep it as a pistol and add the VFG?

That's what I am going to do (when I get my stamp back) just to watch the "watchdogs" freak out that I have added a VFG to my "pistol".
